Follow Up: Birds, bees & ABCs
Please take a moment to review the following letter, received this afternoon from CCSD Superintendent, Pat Skorkowsky. This is a follow-up letter to his “Personally, Pat” column posted last week and includes many specifics about how our district will move forward with the Sexual Education Curriculum.Thank you for continuing to encourage friends, family and community members to sign up on our HOPE website, http://www.hopefornevada.org so that we may continue to inform more members across the valley with the most up-to-date accurate information.Also, don’t forget to reference HOPE’s calendar page when planning your week ahead:*CCSD Board of Trustees’ Parent and Community Forum will take place on Tuesday, October 7th @ 9:30am at Valley High School. Topics will include our new end-of-the-year test, Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC), updated Graduation Requirements, and an update on Infinite Campus.*CCSD Board of Trustees will hold their bi-monthly meeting on Thursday, October 9th @ 4:00pm at Edward. A. Greer Education Center, 2832 W. Flamingo Rd. Topics on the agenda include Critical Labor Shortage for Substitute and Primary Elementary Grade (pre-k-2) Teachers, the appointment of Sex Ed Advisory Committee Members, an update on the Sex Ed Input process, and the Capital Improvement Program.There can never be enough HOPE!
